Through this, FOTON’s design language has evolved to a more advanced comportment through upgrading their units with new technology and convenience amenities.
The founders and incorporators of FOTON Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) were convinced to bring the brand to the shores of the Philippine automotive market in year 2006. Just 10 years after, FMPI became a registered locator in the Clark Freeport Zone with a 50-year lease agreement with Clark Development Corporation (CDC) engaging in the automotive and truck industry.
In 2016, a total of P 1.2 billion was invested for the construction of the FOTON Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) Assembly Plant – the first automotive plant in CDC, with a line capable of producing 12, 000 vehicles annually. FOTON has also set its official membership in the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) –1 a leading organization in the Philippine automotive industry where to date; FOTON holds the 9th overall ranking.
In 2019, FMPI ended the year with flying colors as the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems certificate was officially awarded to the company for obtaining established and documented quality management system, training of people, and periodic assessment or audit, to ensure effectiveness, adequacy, and relevance of the system in FMPI.
FMPI continues to secure its brand promise to empower businesses not only through first-rate products but also through aggressive aftersales capabilities reinforced through the launch of the EC Genuine Parts and EC Mobile Service Truck service programs aimed to make the customer's experience easy and convenient.
With continuously growing dealer network strategically located in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, FMPI is aligned with national goals in sustaining economic growth, providing quality passenger and commercial vehicles to families and businesses throughout the Philippines.
