FOTON dealerships across the country gathered in Solaire Resort and Casino last January 26, 2018, Friday night for their annual Dealers’ Appreciation Night. Led by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), the official distributor of FOTON vehicles in the country, the momentous event was graced by the company’s dealer principals, partners from financial institutions, the media, and executives from FOTON International Group.
The 2018 Dealers’ Appreciation Night served as FOTON Philippines’ expression of gratitude and recognition of achievements of its dealers who all shared relevant contributions in 2017 which led to FOTON’s apparent development in its position in the automotive industry.
The Overall Champion Dealer of the Year award is FOTON Philippines’ highest recognition given to the dealership with the most exemplary performance in all aspects of dealer operations and standards, including sales, aftersales service, and customer management.
Awarded as the 2016 Rookie of the Year, FOTON Quezon Avenue took a great leap, claiming the 2017 Overall Champion Dealer of the Year award.
Looking back to FOTON PH’s 2017 performance, Sytin claimed an 18.5 percent growth for the passenger and light duty truck segments, contributing to the 18 percent growth of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA).
In his welcome remarks, FOTON Philippines President Rommel Sytin announced that six more dealerships are soon to open this year, ending the year 2018 with a total of 29 dealerships.
“Currently, we have 6 Gratour Sales Outlets and we continuously encourage everyone to put up sales outlets especially to large cities where there is big potential market for this product.” he added. “We will open 5 more dealerships in the area of Bacoor Cavite, Puerto Princesa Palawan, Bauang La Union, Cebu South and Cainta, Rizal as these are now under construction and expects to operate by 2018.”
Sytin added, “The strong aftersales capabilities of our dealerships and the availability of FOTON genuine parts that improved the perception and level of confidence to the brand which registered 35% and 40% growth on units received and labor and part sales respectively.”
FOTON International Group Executive Vice President Ma Rentao said that Southeast Asia is the core area of Foton International’s overseas business and accounts for 50% of overseas sales.
Rentao also announced, “Foton Group will continue to give all sided support to the Philippines market for our customers by providing more professional service, efficient spare parts supply, high quality products and global order in management system.”
This event is but one sign of FOTON Philippines’ phenomenal growth in terms of sales and the increasing accessibility of the vehicle brand to more customers nationwide through its growing dealership network.
“Throughout the years, we have been successful in introducing new and improved product lines in terms of performance, durability and reliability translating to better performance and sustainable growth.” Sytin said.
