Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)
Diesel particulate filters play a critical role in the functioning of diesel-fuel cars and trucks. Failing to maintain these filters can lead to significant (and costly) consequences for the vehicle.
Causes of DPF Failure:
1. Often Short distance trips
2. Contaminated Fuel
3. Defective Fuel System( Faulty Injector)
4.Failure to regenerate the DPF on time
The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is a ceramic filter that has a tiny and microscopic channels or honeycomb-shaped openings that filtered the soot particles into the channel walls and prevent the soot particles from exiting out in the exhaust pipe.
One of the two types of process to burn off the accumulated soot from the filterthis is performed according to the specified kilometer or ECU reading regarding the level of soot particles within the DPF.
Done according to the manufacturer’s standard and in the prescribed Preventive maintenance schedule. Following a procedure with special chemical solution that will burn the soot particles within the filter.
We recommend the usage of DPF Cleaning Solution – a highly efficient cleaning fluid for removing diesel particulate filters. Dissolves contaminations in the diesel particulate filter and regenerates its full functionality. The soot particles that have been dissolved during the cleaning process will be burnt doing the System regeneration and Manual regeneration process.
