Apart from the car and truck brand’s 10th year anniversary in the country, FOTON Philippines also celebrated its 2017 Dealer Appreciation Night held last January 31, 2017 at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, Mandalyong City.
With the theme “Creating Connections, Expanding Potentials”, the event served as the company’s expression of gratitude and recognition of achievements of its dealers who all shared relevant contributions which led to FOTON’s apparent development in its position in the automotive industry.
“It has always been rewarding and fruitful years for FOTON Philippines. All our achievements could not have been carried through successfully without our combined relentless efforts in achieving a common goal.” exclaimed FOTON Philippines President Rommel Sytin.
Sytin reminisced and shared how challenging the business’ first few years were. “I recall selling about less than 100 units in one year. Those made me think if I really made the right decision.”
“But I had to persist. I remained to be optimistic. And so, just like the earlier 9 years, we forged ahead and kept on conquering it all.” proudly exclaims Sytin.
In line with its FOTON’s apparent success through the years, Sytin took advantage of the special gathering to extend his gratitude to FOTON’s supportive financial institutions. “We further strengthen our partnerships with our customers and dealers through the collaborations with our bank partners. We started with baby steps, but I can confidently say that now, we are able to offer financing schemes in keeping with the big leagues in the industry.”
In the ceremony, special awards were presented to qualified participants who attained target sales and provided commendable customer satisfaction through their offered services. Out of 23 dealerships, the night’s most prestigious honor – the Overall Champion – Dealer of the Year Award, was bagged by FOTON Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija.
From its outstanding performance in 2016, FOTON Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija has guaranteed commendable service to their clients which also made them clinch more major trophies such as Sales Team of the Year and Dealer of the Year for NCR/Luzon. On the other hand, FOTON Cagayan De Oro was awarded Dealer of the Year for Visayas and Mindanao. Clinching the Rookie of the Year award was FOTON Quezon Avenue.
FOTON, now a member of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), also announced the beefing up of its Gratour line up with the addition of multi-purpose vehicles and mini trucks to its 7-seater minivan offers. Sytin also added, “We have managed to retain the top 2 spot for Light Duty Trucks surpassing other brands because of its durability, reliability and affordability translating to brand confidence. While for Light Duty Trucks, taking off as a Euro 2, conventional type engine is now shifting to OBD Electronic Controlled ECU’s with Common Rail Direct Injection, Euro 4 compliant.”
The company’s expansion becomes more evident as FOTON is expected to open new dealerships in Cordon, Isabela; Puerto Princesa, Palawan and La Union.
“Expect that my team and I will strengthen all partnerships we have now to connect our aspirations and maximize each and every potential there is.” closes Sytin.
