United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), the exclusive distributor of FOTON vehicles in the Philippines, reinforces the expansion of its dealership network by, for the record, achieving a total of five groundbreaking ceremonies of new dealerships in the month of April.
“The first quarter of 2017 showed how exemplary FOTON’s performance is in the market through achieving target sales and garnering continual interest from potential dealer partners.” shared FOTON Philippines and UAAGI President Rommel Sytin.

Last April 5, UAAGI and its authorized dealer Absolute Advantage Inc. officially began the construction of the first FOTON dealership in the Ilocos region, FOTON La Union. Located in the municipality of Bauang, the 2,000-squaremeter facility will have a vehicle showroom including parts, service and sales offices which will provide a comprehensive and satisfactory experience to their customers.
“Our family personally owns a FOTON vehicle which is being used for our business.” says FOTON La Union Dealer Principal Mr. Adrian Go. “We fully trust the brand because we’ve witnessed how capable and practical having one is. We want more families and businesses to experience this level of efficiency through FOTON.” he added.
FOTON La Union is expected to open on the first quarter of 2018.

Two days after FOTON La Union, UAAGI flew to the beautiful province of Palawan to formally facilitate the groundbreaking ceremony of FOTON Puerto Princesa together with its awarded dealer, SteeringWheel Inc.
Being affiliated to the construction firm, FOTON Puerto Princesa Dealer Principal Michelle Tiotangco shared how essential earthmovers like FOTON vehicles are in development of their industry. “Commercial vehicles, particularly the light, heavy duty trucks and heavy equipment have literally and figuratively helped our business ease all types of load.” noted Tiotangco. “We are certain that FOTON will be patronized by small-, medium-, and large-scale industries.” she said.
“We have come across a lot of FOTON vehicles and true enough, they are well-built, especially now that their engine is powered by Cummins.” she emphasized.

Moreover, adding up to FOTON’s powerhouse in the province of Cavite, Alphamile Automotive Dealers Inc. (AADI) also sealed the deal with UAAGI and held their groundbreaking ceremony in Molino, Bacoor last April 21.
Known as the countries’ home of major townships and real estate hubs, Cavite also quarters economic zones focusing on food processing, pharmaceuticals, and agribusinesses. Because of this, Mr. Juanito Tionson, Dealer Principal of FOTON Cavite, took the opportunity to offer the FOTON vehicles closer to these trading.
“We decided to explore the world of automotive because we see its capacity here in our province. We are located in the center of processing zones and logistics companies, that’s why we are assured that FOTON products will incessantly reach various business types.” shared Tionson.
Similar to Absolute Advantage Inc. (FOTON La Union) and SteeringWheel Inc. (FOTON Puerto Princesa), Alphamile Automotive Dealers Inc. is also a first-timer in the car dealership scene.
“I’m confident and I can see that FOTON continuously shows its aggressiveness in the market. In the near future, I know that FOTON will be considered as one of the top vehicle brands in the Philippines due to the products’ great value for money.”
The 2,200-squaremeter showroom in FOTON Bacoor will be divided into 2 sections: one for the passenger vehicles, while the other for the light-duty and heavy-duty trucks display area. It is expected to open on Q4 of 2017.

FOTON, again, went up to Northern Luzon to establish a new home in the second largest province in the country, Isabela. Located in the Municipality of Cordon, UAAGI broke the grounds of FOTON Cordon together with its authorized dealer Manindra Auto Corporation last April 25, 2017.
Apart from FOTON Cordon, Manindra Auto Corporation also manages FOTON Quezon Avenue. Dealer Principal Mr. Leo San Juan shared why they chose to open another car dealership under the brand. “The products are attractive. And when I say attractive, it’s a total package: the style and design, the quality and safety features, capped off with the competitive price.” shared San Juan.
He added, “FOTON’s passenger vehicles, particularly the View Traveller, View TransVan, and the Gratour have been sought-after by our clients due to its efficiency and wide space that’s good for both people and cargo. The quality and features are same with those of the known brands yet the price is lower. It’s definitely a better choice.”
Known as the Philippines’ largest granary of corn and rice, Isabela is also considered as the 10th richest and most progressive province in the country due to its agricultural resources and development. “FOTON will surely contribute great help to the development of these firms because that’s what the brand offers – business empowerment.”
FOTON Cordon is set to open on December 2017.
Creating Connections in Cainta

Finally, as the month of April ended, UAAGI hit another one as it officially started the construction of its first dealership in the province of Rizal. Headed by its authorized dealer Lica Auto Group, the groundbreaking ceremony of FOTON Cainta was held last April 28, 2017.
As evidence of numerous manufacturing firms located in the area, Cainta is considered to be the one of the richest municipalities in the Philippines. “With FOTON offering the widest product lineup – from passenger vans, SUVs, pick-up trucks, light duty trucks, heavy duty trucks to earth movers – our dealership will surely be a one-stop-shop to those looking for vehicles for their families and businesses in Cainta’s automotive row.” said FOTON Cainta General Manager Vergel Gopez.
Officially opening on December 2017, the 2,500-squaremeter FOTON dealership includes a vehicle showroom for the passenger vehicles, light duty trucks and the newly-launched Gratour series. “We are very thankful to UAAGI for honing our ability to serve FOTON clients and provide them a good ownership experience. They’re very hands-on to the entire team.” said Gopez.
Considering the growth of its dealer development program and the patronage of dealer partners as a superior milestone, FOTON Philippines and UAAGI President Rommel Sytin shared more of his goals and opportunities that FOTON could take in the near future. “In this Golden Age of Infrastructure, the demand for vehicles used for trading and construction is also expected to increase”. Sytin noted, “FOTON will play a vital role in this progression especially now that our government is already implementing the ‘build, build, build’ concept.”
“We will continue to provide quality and affordable vehicles for both Filipino families and MSMEs. That’s why we are aggressively expanding across the country: to bring our products closer to our end users and to provide them an immediate access to our services.” closed Sytin.
